When smart Technology is surrounding us in every new way, it is obvious that automobile has no reason to lag. Then, when it comes to a brand like Nissan, it would not compromise on being ahead with technological advancements implemented in their vehicles. The new Intelligent Safety Shield Technologies of Nissan is one such advancement that comprises the smartest possible approach to safety issues. It has made the engineering work on every aspect that is usually or unusually associated with the matter of safety while developing the vehicle models. They say, it is through monitoring, responding and protecting they could extend the help to keep their customers safe and satisfied.
Here is the list of Nissan Safety Shield Technology features shared by the Gilroy Nissan dealer.
Predictive Forward Collision Warning
The most common reason found behind a collision is being off guard in a normal traffic situation. Addressing this probability, Nissan with the help of this technology, has implanted a radar sensor at the front of the Nissan car that constantly monitors the situation ahead and around. It looks vehicles that are ahead in your lane, especially when there are two. If the system suddenly detects deceleration of two vehicles ahead, it gives an audible warning with a visual signal placed on the instrument panel letting you know is slowing down the car automatically.
Automatic Emergency Braking
Using the same radar technology, the safety shield keeps an eye on the speed and probable proximity to the vehicles around. The Automatic Emergency Braking is to alert the driver with audio- visual warnings to help reduce the speed when necessary. It applies the brakes itself if the person on the steering wheel fail to respond in time. Even then, when a collision becomes inevitable, this feature engages the brakes to reduce the impact of the collision.
Blind Spot Warning
If the system could detect another vehicle in the blind spot area, it makes an indicator appear in the door pillar of the driver and on the Drive-Assist Display.
RearView and Around View Monitor
Parallel parking is made easy with the RearView and Around View Monitors that perform their tasks through Green, yellow, and red indicators helping in gauging how close the objects are. The composite 360º bird’s-eye view of the vehicle, with select split-screen close-ups of all views let you know the entire scenario. Moreover, the Moving Object Detection system warns whenever any moving object gets detected in the car’s vicinity.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System
As told by the Nissan dealer Gilroy, this is a system to monitor the tires to check the inflation pressure, especially when it goes low, as it can shorten the life span of the tire and can even reduce the normal capabilities of running the vehicle with heavy load. The Easy-Fill Tire Alert starts flashing the lights and sounds of the car and creates a beeping sound of the horn when the air pressure is right.
The Front and Rear Sonar System works when it detects any object near the bumper through a beeping sound. It does so while reversing and increases the frequency when the car comes closer to any object or the vice versa.
